Common Kindergarten Screening Instrument
Through the amazing efforts of SRP's Early Care and Education work group, all public elementary schools in Chemung County now use the same instrument for screening the readiness of incoming Kindergartners.

Thanks to the use of this uniform screening tool, education and early childhood leaders can evaluate school readiness based on common indicators and assessment criteria.

With this improvement in data tracking, early care and education leaders will be better able to pinpoint those early childhood services that have the best potential for helping young children build the foundation they need to start school as able learners.
