Program Management and Governance

In addition to grant monies, the Community Foundation provides a dedicated program leader who is responsible for program management and oversight.

The program is governed by the Readiness Council, a committee of the Community Foundation. The committee comprises community leaders and stakeholders including representatives from the business community, the county legislature, educators and parents. This council reports to the Community Foundation Board of Directors.

To ensure that the project is effective in preparing young children for success in school, an independent evaluator from Columbia University will assess our effectiveness, provide feedback and make program recommendations.
