Since launching in 2006, the Chemung School Readiness project has made great strides in giving Chemung County's younger children more and better opportunities to build the foundation they need to start school as able learners. Learn more!

Preschool Experience

Head Start and Pre-K enrollment time is just around the corner. Check with your school district for pre-k offerings or call EOP Head Start at (607) 734-6208.

Head Start - ages 3 & 4 (start on 3rd birthday)
Pre-K - must be 4 years old by Dec. 1st, 2010
